Skincare journey

37F and unfortunately didn’t care much for skincare (that includes sunscreen) until I was 30 years old. I’ve spent the past 7 years using different products and achieving somewhat nice skin but not the kind of progress I wanted to be achieving.

Concerns: pigmentation, scarring, enlarged pores

In January I decided to start professional treatments through a local chain clinic. They always have sales so I’ve been buying whatever pops up on sale to save the most money. I haven’t listed my skincare routine because the treatments did the heaviest lifting here but if you’re curious then I rotate through different actives and hydrating products just depending on how my skin feels/if I feel I need to back off. Unfortunately I’ve never really pushed past getting my skin acclimated to tretinoin because I found it so irritating. I will try again at some point once I hit the maintenance phase of my program.

Left is before. Right is after: - 2 sessions of candela gentle lase to remove pigmentation. - 1 session of vascular laser to remove the cherry angioma under my left eye - 1 session microneedling with mesoinfus brighten (not doing mesoinfus again. Find it a bit gimmicky) - 1 chemical peel that had kojic acid and lactic acid - using omnilux men mask at home 5 times a week for 10 minutes

I plan to continue microneedling monthly, do stronger peels and some more laser to hit the bigger and darker spots from sun damage. Can update if anyone is interested in following my journey.
